Dear Competitor,
Anglian Water WaterAid Fly Fishing Challenge 2007 – 18th May.
I am writing to confirm
your team entry/entries to the above event at Rutland Water and we are
delighted that you are able to join us at the event this year. Your
participation is very much appreciated and will ultimately allow WaterAid to
provide safe water supplies, sanitation and hygiene education to people in the
developing world making a huge difference to their everyday lives. Please take the time to read this information
as it is important to ensure you get the most of the day. Note. Team
captains, can you please ensure that you distribute this letter to all members
of your team.
Registration
Your team can register from
8am.
Novices are encouraged to register as early as possible to ensure maximum tuition
time from our experts (from local club Rutland Water Fly Fishers) before the
fishing starts at 10am.
The event is proving very
popular this year, especially with novice anglers. Loaned fishing tackle is
available if you have already requested it, however it would be a big help if
you are able to obtain some equipment due to the high demand.
Tuition evening – 17th
May from 5pm-7pm
This
is available for beginners and experienced anglers and will be held the evening
before the event. Many of you have booked this option on the application form
but if your team is around the evening before and would like to benefit from
this excellent opportunity to get tuition from some of the best fly casters in
the country (volunteers from local club Rutland Water Fly Fishers) please meet
us at the lodge. If you are not interested in the casting but are around the
evening before please pop down to the lodge for a chat and a drink with us and
get some top tips for the day.
Other features on the day
will be:
Sealed Bid Auction - Landing
Nets
We
will have some landing nets available in the sealed bid auction, minimum bid
£15. Essential to ensure your hard earned catch ends up on the scales.
Auction
During the evening we will hold
a short auction with some excellent items up for grabs.
Raffle
Tickets will be on sale
during the day and there will be a good chance of winning some great prizes.
Please don’t forget your wallets and cheque books so not to miss out on the
chance to net a bargain and raise even more money for WaterAid!
Environment Agency Fishing

fishing. If you don’t hold a current annual licence you can obtain a one day
